3 things to do with an old duvet cover.

1. Tear strips and wrap around an old lampshade frame. Embellish any which way you fancy. This one sports crochet flowers and leaves.

And now an additional clip-on birdy Christmas decoration.

2. Tear strips as before but cut into approximately 12 cm lengths. Bend a wire coat hanger into a circle and tie the fabric strips to it. Then titivate. Suffolk puffs, beads and another clip on birdy were used here.

3. This is unfinished. Another coat hanger bent to shape, tightly wrapped in fabric strips and embellished with more Suffolk puffs.

Buying duvet covers from charity shops or using old and worn ones that you already own can be a very thrifty way of acquiring large pieces of pretty fabric.
